What is the Dao of Dragonball?

• This site is about The Dao of Dragonball, a new book detailing the higher level concepts and undertones behind the most influential anime of the last two decades: Dragonball.
• With a new Hollywood Dragonball feature scheduled for release in 2009, several new video games in development, and ever constant re-releases of the comic books and anime, Dragonball is alive and well, and this is a perfect time for The Dao of Dragonball.
• Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Ball GT, or DBZ, DBGT, is one of the most dynamic and long lasting Japanese cartoons ever created.

Why does that matter to me?

In The Dao of Dragonball we delve very deeply into the historical and spiritual aspects of the manga and anime. We take a look at the origin, martial arts, Buddhist, Shinto, Daoist, and Imperialist heritage of the series. We also ask hypothetical questions based on these metaphysical understandings, and this is something I feel fans will absolutely love.

• Dragonball Online, the world's first massively multiplayer video game based on the Dragonball series is in development in Korea. Scheduled release is near the end of 2008 in Korea, and in Japan in 2009. Akira Toriyama has creative control over the project.
• 21st Century Fox has announced that Dragonball the movie will be officially released on April 8th, 2009.
• Dragon Ball: The Complete illustrations can be pre-ordered from Amazon. This is the translated version of the original Japanese Daizenshuu Volume 1, and contains art from the Dragonball series creator, Akira Toriyama.
